Who is Dawn Thompson

Dawn Thompson began her expat journey in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, in 2017, working online for a well-known Canadian company. However, when COVID-19 struck, she lost her position due to contractual restrictions on overseas employment. Determined to sustain herself and secure a reliable remote income, she explored countless opportunities—from online surveys to various remote jobs—only to encounter scams and setbacks.

Refusing to give up, Dawn took a leap of faith into real estate, a decision that changed everything. In 2022, she founded The Dominican Realtor, turning her challenges into a thriving business. Today, she helps others navigate the Dominican Republic’s real estate market, guiding buyers, sellers, and investors toward their dream properties while embracing the freedom and success she once struggled to find.
